Steve Ahn Is the founder and CEO of Lumis Games Inc. Prior to assuming this role, he was a professor at KAIST, one of South Korea’s premier research universities, where he pioneered the use of gamification and simulation techniques in teaching entrepreneurship. He also serves as a Venture Partner at D3Jubilee, an impact venture capital firm in South Korea, and as a lecturer at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
In 2000, Ahn founded Leadis Technology in Silicon Valley, a semiconductor startup, and successfully led it to an IPO on NASDAQ in 2004. Before establishing Leadis, he held positions at major semiconductor companies including National Semiconductor, Sharp Corporation, and Samsung Electronics.
Ahn holds degrees from Seoul National University and KAIST. He specialized in semiconductor technologies at Stanford University, where he earned an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. Additionally, he completed an Executive MBA through a joint program between INSEAD and Tsinghua University.
